summer + good music

It seems natural that summer should be welcomed by new music to listen to. But if you're like me, you don't always have money to spend on new music. So I'm going to share some of my new summer playlist just because I'm in a summery mood. :)

Anything by Ben Rector is going to be good. I guarantee it. He has a free sampler on NoiseTrade that you, if you don't already have it, should go right now and download it.

I had never heard of Chris Davis before, but while looking for some new music on NoiseTrade (love that place...), I came across his debut album that just sounds really light and summery. My favorite songs on it are Heartthrob and This Could be Love. :)

Something NOT on NoiseTrade is Andy Grammer's new album. It's really good. Favorite songs? Lunatic and Fine By Me.

Marc Scibilia's sampler is pretty nice too. He sounds a little bit like Bob Dylan, and I always love oldies. And even newbies that sound like oldies.

Tom Felton sings. It was a happy day when I discovered that. And he's really good, too. (In Hawaii, kickin back is where you'll find meeeee.)

A new duo I discovered, 3rd & Union, released a single recently called My Love. The harmonies give me chills, and it's just a really sweet song. I'm looking forward to hearing their new music.

There's this guy named Josh Rouse who I first heard a while ago when there was a card in Starbucks for a free download of his song Duerme. Then I saw him again on NoiseTrade and got the sampler. I don't have much music that sounds like his, but I've enjoyed listening to it. Plus, it's titled Summertime, sooo. ;)

And that's about all I can think of right now. What's new in your playlist? I'd love to hear what y'all like!

Anyhoo, I hope you're all off to a good start with your summers! I finished the ACT this morning, and I'm ready to chill. :)
